Boris Tchaikovsky. Complete String Quartets

The double-CD with Complete String Quartets of Boris Tchaikovsky issued by Northern Flowers label (Russia).

The recordings (organized by The Boris Tchaikovsky Society and Northern Flowers Musical Alliance) was made in 2008 by famous St. Petersburg musicians: lya Ioff (1st violin), Elena Raskova (2nd violin), Lidia Kovalenko (viola), Alexey Massarsky (cello).

This is the first complete set of quartets, inclduing world premiere recordings of Quartets No.1-2 (though Second Quartet was premiered in 1962 by Borodin Quartet, the recording was not made until now).

Before, only Sixth Quartet was available on the CDs (CDBMR 907084 /Boheme Music/, issued in 1999 and recorded in 1982 by Andrei Korsakov (1st violin), Margarita Peletsis (2nd violin), Aleksander Petrov (viola), Andrei Demin (cello)).
